Saka reveals how Arsenal can beat United
Speaking ahead of the huge clash against Erik ten Hag’s side, the 20-year-old urged his teammates to show more passion than the opposition, via the Express. Saka said: “Beating United would be a very big thing, because they are a quality team and in good form right now.
“If we can go there and win it will give us a lot of confidence going forward. It’s a special rivalry. I’ve seen the games from before, with the big tackles and the fighting. In games like this it has to be a balance between tactics and passion.
“Passion is really important. You can’t let the other team have more than you because then things get difficult.
Speaking ahead of the match, United manager Erik ten Hag said, “I have seen Arsenal, a tough opponent, they have started really well as we all know in the season and you can see there is a team who are [a] long [time] together, with a coach who brings his philosophy in the team. So, this is a good test and I’m really looking forward [to it]. We will pick the right XI to start but as you see, it’s not only a team, we have a squad and also, today, the subs who came on did really well so I’m happy with that. That is what we have to construct further.”
Ronaldo wanted to leave United in the summer transfer window to play Champions League football and was linked with a host of clubs including Chelsea but a move never materialised.
Arsenal go into the game looking to extend their perfect start to the Premier League season with a sixth straight win that would see them move four points clear of second-placed Manchester City.
United, meanwhile, have climbed up the table with three consecutive victories, most recently beating Leicester 1-0 on Thursday. Arsenal beat Aston Villa 2-1 the night before.
